Living Connected
Living Connected
This program develops community harmony and community spirit through mutual assistance in a pleasant environment; reducing isolation and loneliness by increasing social capacity. By providing a sense of belonging, it promotes personal safety and boosts moral and motivation, improving health, wellness and a much better lifestyle.
SUPPORT GROUPS
The group is about sharing personal experiences, listening to others and relating issues and circumstances, providing sympathetic understanding, support, information, tips and establishing social networks.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Our social activities in the center include cooking, music and art groups. Outdoor activities include outings such as shopping, eating out (breakfasts, lunches and dinners), trips to the theater, cruises and social events. We provide the opportunity for different people to make new friends and develop their social network.
Social activities keep people energetic and mentally engaged, and this is important to prevent dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. It helps maintain good emotional health and helps keep people in a positive mood, by connecting with others, improving physical health and preventing depression.
Social and cultural activities strengthen people’s personal skills … Culture can be defined as the arts, as well as shared beliefs, values and intangible practices of a community.
